About Principal Westerhoff

Summit School District (SSD) is proud to hire Ann-Mari Westerhoff as the Principal for Breckenridge Elementary School.
“I am excited and honored to become part of the Breckenridge Elementary School learning community with incredible students, dedicated teachers and staff and a thoughtful community,” said Ann-Mari Westerhoff. “I am inspired by and grateful for the opportunity to work in partnership for the success of every student.”  
Westerhoff currently serves as the Assistant Principal and IB Coordinator at Silverthorne Elementary School.  She has served in education for 27 years, 19 of those years in Summit School District as a substitute teacher, paraprofessional, grade level teacher, and language development teacher.
With an extensive background in English Language Development, as both a teacher and specialist, she is committed to upholding the high standard of excellence Breck El is known for. Westerhoff earned a Master’s Degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from the University of Colorado and earned her Certificate in Educational Leadership from the University of Denver.  
Westerhoff added, “As a long-time Summit educator and school leader, I feel fortunate that I can continue collaborating with students, families, and community members with whom I have built strong relationships over the years. I look forward to learning more about all the wonderful work Breck El is doing and meeting the amazing students, staff, and community that make this such a special school.”
