Welcome to BRE
Breckenridge Elementary is a small neighborhood school nestled in the Breckenridge community. We value and implement the instructional model of Applied Learning under the framework of the International Baccalaureate. Experiences are embedded into our curriculum that allow students to apply their learning outside of our school’s walls, making learning relevant and engaging for students.
Our school office will be closed for Summer Break after June 15th and will re-open on August 1st. Please send all inquiries to Anne Gallagher at anne.gallagher@summitk12.org over the summer and look for a response in early August. For immediate assistance, please contact the SSD Central Office at 970-368-1000.

IB Programs
We are an International Baccalaureate® School
The IB supports schools and teachers to provide a rigorous, high-quality education, offering professional development that improves pedagogy and leadership. IB's programmes are different from other curricula because they:
- encourage students of all ages to think critically and challenge assumptions
- develop independently of government and national systems, incorporating quality practice from research and our global community of schools
- encourage students of all ages to consider both local and global contexts
- develop multilingual students.
